The Victoria Falls Hotel

The Victoria Falls Hotel is situated in the Victoria Falls National Park. This Edwardian-style five-star hotel, built in 1904, effortlessly combines the charm of the old with the convenience of the new.

Set in lush tropical gardens with lily ponds, palm trees and semi-tropical shrubs, it provides tranquillity and seclusion. The famous Victoria Falls are just a ten-minute walk away using a private pathway, and “the smoke that thunders” is clearly audible and visible from the Hotel’s grounds.

The Victoria Falls hotel has 161 rooms in total, comprising 37 standard rooms, 58 traditional rooms, 48 deluxe rooms, 7 junior suites, 4 honeymoon suites, 6 executive suites and the Royal Suite. All rooms are air conditioned with every modern amenity including digital satellite television and a personal safe. Inter-leading rooms are also available for families where parents can occupy a room that links the neighbouring children’s room through a private doorway.

Each room with its own unique look, but all feature digital satellite TV, safe, bath and shower, bar fridge (only in deluxe rooms and suites), hairdryer, air conditioning, telephone, complimentary early morning tea/ coffee.

Stanley & Livingstone Hotel in Victoria Falls, set in Victoria Falls Private game reserve has an impressive decor that defines the hotel. This 5 Star Hotel has spacious and tastefully decorated guest rooms. Internet in the room is free and works well. One almost forgets that one is in Zimbabwe as all facilities operated without glitch when we visited. From most rooms one has a direct view of the reserve and there is great opportunity to spot game from the comfort of your room.

Game drives are a part of what the hotel offers and they don’t disappoint as the lodge has a private Game reserve with Rhinos also on a conservation programme. The staff is very professional and friendly and committed to ensuring the guest’s comfort.

Guest at Stanley & Livingstone hotel can enjoy game drives in Victoria Falls Private game reserve which is home of the Rhinos (under rhino conservation programme), domesticated lions for lion walk activities, domesticated elephants for elephant rides and interaction. Often the Big 5 can be spotted during game drive activities.

A’Zambezi River Lodge, is a 4-star Hotel situated on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River, 5km upstream from the magnificent Victoria Falls. Its boast is being one of the hotels situated on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River, that’s EXCELLENT value for money and the food is outstanding! The buffet meals are great, pleasant outdoor surroundings, traditional singing/dancing for entertainment in the evenings.

The Hotel has a shuttle that take one to the town of Victoria Falls. Experience luxury, but still have the ‘bush’ feeling. The staff are friendly and efficient – always ready to help.
